Split Rock Consulting Named Integrator of Aqua America’s National CIS Rollout

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

Sun Prairie, WI, May 5, 2004 —Aqua America has named Split Rock Consulting, Inc. as the prime integrator to implement Aqua America’s Customer Information System (CIS) nationwide, John Hanke, President of Split Rock, announced.

The three-year project will require converting from at least four different CIS systems into Indus’ Banner CIS system.  The implementation of Itron’s mobile dispatch system, Service Link, will also be a key component of the project.

Aqua America (NYSE: WTR), Bryn Mawr, PA, is the second largest investor owned water company in the U.S. and has grown through acquisitions.  Aqua America currently provides water and sewer services in 15 states.

“This is a huge undertaking for Aqua America.  Bringing all operations from multiple companies into one CIS is critical for both Customer Service and shareholder value,” Rick Fox said, Aqua America Senior Customer Service Manager and Project Sponsor.  

“We chose Split Rock because of their experience and track record,” Fox said. “Split Rocks resources are uniquely qualified to lead us through this process,” he said.

“We are very honored and excited about being the integrator for this project,” John Hanke said.  “Converting from a single CIS in a single jurisdiction can be difficult enough, but multiple CIS conversion from multiple states provides a unique challenge that Split Rock is ready to undertake,” Hanke said.

“We have put together an elite team of Banner and CIS professionals for this project,” Tom Rapp said, Split Rock Vice President (Rochester, NY) and Project Manager for the integration. “Split Rock will be leading conversions, testing, business process normalization, interfaces, reporting, as well as project management and training,” Rapp said.  Tom Rapp resides in Avon, NY.
