Aqua America Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania Banner Upgrade: October 2002 – January 2004
During this first phase Split Rock conducted a CIS evaluation to determine if AAI should upgrade or replace their back-leveled product. Our experienced professionals stepped them through a business case which helped them decide the best course based on business requirements, time to implement and overall costs. Their decision was to upgrade to Indus BANNER® CIS ® 3.1; including multiple custom modifications and 10 major releases to the BANNER product.
Split Rock implementation contributions included: project management, analysis and documentation of business processes, technical upgrade strategies and execution, creating a plan for new and refresher training, risk management, test planning and testing.
CIS Consolidation: February 2004 – July 2007In this second phase Split Rock was involved in the design, planning and management of the creation of two new call centers, the conversion of their affiliated companies, in 13 states, to the BANNER® CIS 3.1 system and the selection of a Work Force Management system. This involved the design of a state-of-the-art Voice Over IP (VOIP) phone system, conversion of data from four different CIS products providing billing and customer support to over 750,000 AAI customers and the evaluation, selection and preliminary planning for the implementation of a Work Force Management system across the entire AAI service area. Split Rock managed the overall consolidation and standardization of business processes among the AAI companies in Phase 2.
Ongoing Acquisitions: July 2007 - CurrentCurrently Split Rock is providing business analysis and technical conversion assistance to AAI in support of AAI’s ongoing program of water system acquisition and integration into the AAI business model.
Barbados Light & Power LTD Barbados, West Indies CIS Business Case: Oct 2004 – Dec 2004Split Rock assessed BL&P’s business processes and legacy utility billing system to enable BL&P to determine whether to enhance, re-write or replace its legacy CIS solution. The results of this business assessment provided BL&P a sound, documented CIS business case and cost justification in support of CIS replacement.
CIS Selection: April 2005 – Jan 2006Split Rock led BL&P through requirements definition, RFP development and publication, vendor demonstrations, site visits, final selection and negotiations.
Project Planning / Quality Assurance: May 2006 to Sept 2007Split Rock managed the Quality Assurance (QA) effort for the overall project along with mentoring an internal Project Manager. This involved quarterly project assessments, evaluating the health and status of the project milestones and objectives. Mentoring including project schedule and status review as well as coaching activities.
CIS Implementation: Sept 2007 to July 2008BL&P required an experienced project manager and requested Split Rock to fill that role. Split Rock took over Project Scheduling and Administration, along with oversight of all BL&P deliverables.
CIS Stabilization: Oct 2008 to Mar 2009Split Rock Managed this project which addressed deferred functionality and post-implementation production issues from its CIS effort. Split Rock developed a project plan and project schedule, prioritized issues, created milestones and deliverables, and developed a resource plan.
New Rates Implementation: Mar 2009 to PresentSplit Rock is currently managing the project to configure, test, communicate and implement both revisions of its current rates and additional “pilot” rates (e.g., Time of Use, renewable). Split Rock provided typical project management activities and testing resources for this effort.
New Bill Presentment: Mar 2009 to PresentSplit Rock is currently managing the effort to roll out a new bill design. This included developing a business case (cost justification) bill design, analysis on whether to outsource bill printing and communications.
St. Lucia Electricity Services Company (LUCELEC) St Lucia, West IndiesSplit Rock led LUCELEC through requirements definition, RFP development and publishing, vendor demonstrations and final selection, contract negotiations, and preliminary budgeting and resource planning for their 2010 CIS replacement effort.
Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS) Mobile, AL CIS Selection: April 2007 – Mar 2008Split Rock led MAWSS through requirements definition, RFP development and publication, vendor demonstrations, site visits, final selection and negotiations. As a part of this effort Split Rock also did initial project strategy, planning, budgeting and resource planning.
CIS Implementation: April 2008 to Oct 2009Split Rock managed the implementation of the MAWSS project, which included vendor oversight, schedule administration, development of critical project documents, coordination of day to day project activities, and status gathering and reporting. This Project went in on-time and on budget.
Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) Fort Myers, FLSplit Rock provided CIS production support for LCEC on their SCT BANNER® CIS while they were migrating to the CorDaptix® CIS platform. We have also assisted them with testing the functionality of Business Post Date and Purge Archive and assisted with testing on the new system as well.
Snohomish County Public Utilities District Everett, WASplit Rock was contracted for consulting services to conduct an independent, detailed business analysis of the District, develop alternative approaches to meet business requirements and recommend a forward-looking strategy for the future of their Severn Trent CIS/OV system.
